What should we do on 10.2.10??!!

Whether or not you can come to the rally, we'd want everyone in the 99er/unemployed community to have a chance to have input on the rally in DC!

What should those of us who are going to DC do? We want to: a) make a big, unified impact with our presence; and b) do something to represent everybody who is stuck at home with no money.

Post your thoughts in the comment section!

  1. There's a rally before the main event being put on by U-Cubed and the Machinists Union, right at RFK Stadium where the out-of-town buses are parking. It will be next to the Main Gate of the stadium, in between the bus parking lots and the Metro station, beginning at 9:00 am and running until around 11:00 am. We have a great list of speakers, and then there's also me as a member of U-Cubed.

For a march about jobs, justice & education, the unemployed and underemployed were the only constituency group not represented explicitly. U-Cubed has changed that dynamic and deserves a lot of credit.

The idea for the rally is to have a place for us to gather together, and give each other support, AND show that we can be and are a political force to be reckoned with. There will be signs, t-shirts, and other hand-outs to have greater visibility at the main event.

So, please, join the Rally for the Unemployed at RFK Stadium when you get off the bus. Let's make sure everyone can put faces to the issue of jobs!
